Description

We are currently looking for an experienced construction manager to join our expanding team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing and allocating resources for various ongoing and upcoming construction projects across our expanding network of car wash facilities throughout San Diego County. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating projects among external vendors, consultants, and our internal New Store Opening teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects in a large-scale multi-unit retail environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise multi-phase, large-scale car wash projects from inception to completion

• Exercise sound judgment in project decision-making processes

• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and technical diagrams throughout project lifecycles

• Effectively manage and motivate project teams to ensure productivity and focus

• Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders

• Provide oversight to external contractors and ensure adherence to deadlines and objectives

• Prioritize project tasks for each department and vendor, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines

• Foster collaborative relationships with municipal and utility entities to facilitate permitting and inspections

• Maintain accountability for project timelines, budgets, and overall progress

• Promptly adapt to changing circumstances and understand the implications of adjustments on projects, personnel, and finances

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, related field, or equivalent experience a plus. 

REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7 years Commercial Construction Management experience in multi-unit retail
• OSHA Certified, CPR, First Aid a plus 
• PMP Certification a plus 
• Proven experience in a leadership capacity 
• English and Spanish fluency a plus 

REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL

• Ability to remain in a stationary seated or standing position for various increments of time
• Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment
• Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device
• Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, lift over head, twist and turn body when appropriate
• Must be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written form
