Job Summary
We’re looking for a Payroll Manager to join the Tank team! Working closely with Finance and HR, you’ll be leading a small but mighty payroll team of three, delivering paychecks and great experiences to over 3,500 employees across 50 sites in 30 states while ensuring compliance with employment and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the consistent and accurate payment of standing payrolls and special checks requests for Tank employees
· Fully leverage the ADP Workforce Now system
· Train and develop the existing payroll team, including cross-training and documentation of work instructions and driving best practices.
· Build metrics for the department and be a driver of process improvements in service and quality
· Partner with key vendor/partners
· Drive standardization of practices and increase automation (reducing manual transactions)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Years of experience (required or preferred): 10 years in payroll (required)
· Years of Supervisory experience (required or preferred): 4 years managing a team (required)
· Education (required or preferred): bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Human Resources (required)
· Certifications (required or preferred): Certified Payroll Professional Certification (required)
· Industry experience (required or preferred): Payroll experience in a holding company (preferred). Required experience in a more complex payroll environment including multiple FEIN’s, pay frequencies, union/non-union, etc. with over 3,000 employees in size. Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in high growth companies with acquisition activity. (preferred)
· Competencies: Ability to work as part of a team. Decision-making skills. Management skills. Customer/client orientation. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Accounting skills.

Travel
The percentage of travel is 5%. It will require the use of a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
