We are excited to announce a new opening at our substance abuse outpatient clinic located in Brooklyn NY. We are actively seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to work with patients in this new facility alongside other medical/behavioral health staff professionals and prescribers. You would be joining an organization that has been serving the community for over 60 years. We have won numerous awards for high quality patient focused mental healthcare. This opportunity would either be full time permanent with full benefits or part time with benefits. Please see job responsibilities below.
Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Brooklyn NY
Salary: $80,000 to $95,000 full comprehensive benefits package
Responsibilities:
Assessments of patients in outpatient facility
Administers and notes psychotropic drugs and various other medications
Assisting the patient during times of emotional disturbance
Testing vital signs
Consults with Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners on site
Documents notes in EMR system
Speaking with patient family member’s when appropriate
Monitoring patient progress and documenting any changes in health or behavior
Developing care plains for patients
Maintaining control of certain drugs and medications
Requirements:
Associates Degree of Nursing
We will see new graduates!
Preferred 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience
Strong people skills
BLS
NY Registered Nurse license
