Smith Arnold Partners is Hiring a Hospital Corporate Compliance Officer Near Brooklyn, NY

Come join us! We are looking for a Hospital Corporate Compliance Officer reporting to the Board of Directors for the role of VP Internal Audit/Corporate Compliance to be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of our business processes and internal control systems.

Position: Hospital Corporate Compliance Officer

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Salary: $210,000 to $240,000

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, plans, and implements the Hospital's internal audit and corporate compliance functions and evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and internal control systems, as well as ensures Hospital compliance with governance regulations
  • Uses their advanced analytical skills to understand and integrate complex functions, analyze and interpret multi-dimensional data, and exercise independent judgment guided by organizational mission, policies, goals and objectives
  • Ensures the Hospital Board of Directors, management, employees, and staff are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, Hospital policies and procedures are followed, and that behavior in the organization meet its established Standards of Conduct
  • Serves as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolutions, and final internal resource with which concerned parties may communicate after other formal channels and resources have been exhausted
  • Demonstrates leadership capabilities (e.g. planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating, teaching, inspiring, etc.), and ability to oversee and perform multiple responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years auditing experience in a Hospital Required with Risk Management skills and ability identifying noncompliance risks
  • Three (3) years proven experience in a compliance officer role in the healthcare industry is REQUIRED
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local laws/regulatory requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced business management practices, and organizational policies and procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $210,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
