Smiles For Life is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist Near Auburn, IN

Job Summary

Our continually growing, high-tech office is looking for a friendly and energetic self-starter to work as a Front Desk Receptionist. We are a single doctor practice that prides our selfs in modern and complex dentistry. We are team driven and everyone must be willing to help others when asked.

You would work alongside our front desk coordinator in assisting our patients and other team members. It is essential that you be an excellent communicator with a ”can do” personality.

We are seeking someone who is nurturing, cheerful, enthusiastic and has excellent customer service skills.

Specific Front Office Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Answer phones
  • Handle patient scheduling
  • Verify schedule and confirm appointments daily
  • Manage electronic (text/email) appointment reminder services
  • Data entry – type correspondence, reports, memos as requested by Dr.
  • Scan and digitize paper documents and assign to patient chart
  • Managing new patients, collect necessary info from 1stphone call, sending out new patient paperwork and creating a new patient chart
  • Cross train to help turn over patient rooms when needed
  • Keep front area and patient bathroom neat and tidy at all times
  • Maintain front office inventory

Skills/Qualifications:

Positive and outgoing personality, Excellent verbal communication, Creating a safe and effective work environment, Organization, Scheduling, Professionalism, Customer focus, Confidentiality, Teamwork

  • H.S. Graduate (Bachelor’s Preferred)
  • Previous dental office experience preferred but willing to train the right person
  • Customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies
  • Knowledge of basic dental terminology preferred
  • Understand HIPPA privacy practices
  • Good organizational skills and multi-tasked abilities
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to learn quickly from oral and written instructions
  • Must be dependable

  • Strong telephone skills
  • Must be organized and tidy
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate well with people in person and on the phone
  • Can be trusted with confidential information
  • Can effectively act as a liaison between patients and Dr.
  • Must be friendly and empathetic with patients
  • Able to communicate with and get along with other team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 27 per week
