Smart Design is Hiring a Software Developer (C/C++) Near New York, NY
Are you are interested in developing cutting edge technology working with multidisciplinary teams? Do you like solving both technical and human centric problems together with engineers and designers? If you have worked in software development, but you are able to stretch into electrical design, this role may be for you.
The ideal candidate is someone with interest and experience across the whole technology spectrum from hardware to software development. We are seeking someone excited by new ideas, with an eye for detail, and a desire to work with designers/mechanical engineers.

Our office is based out of the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Brooklyn NY. This role is on-site four days a week due to working with hardware.
Naturally you'll have:
- Some educational background in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, robotics engineering, or other relevant programs
- 5 years of experience with programming in C/C
- Experience with machine learning and computer vision
- Understanding of agile processes in software development
- Experience working with version control software such as Git
- Fluidity in picking up new tools and technologies
- Experience working within a Linux environment
- Experiences working with embedded systems
- Experience developing C/C controls applications
- Understanding of circuit design and electrical hardware prototyping
This role must be onsite in our Brooklyn studio 4 days per week. Hourly rates depend on experience and range from $75-120/hour.
