We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team as an Onsite Cloud Generalist. This role requires a combination of skills in networking, storage management, and expertise in the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will be adept at taking direction, completing task promptly, providing technical guidance, and seamlessly implementing various applications as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform network administration such as: network infrastructure installs, configuration management, network problem analysis and resolution, log analysis, etc.
• Configure and maintain networking infrastructure onsite and in the cloud.
• Implement cloud and on-premises servers, storage, and networks.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and ensure timely completion within established deadlines.
• Adapt to changing priorities and allocate resources efficiently to meet project requirements.
• Demonstrate flexibility in shifting between multiple sites within close proximity on short notice.
• Adapt quickly to new environments and technologies, maintaining a high level of productivity and professionalism.
• Proficient in configuring and managing networking devices such as routers, wireless access points, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs. And other networking protocols.
• Expertise in deploying Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and Azure Active Directory.
• Expertise with Azure services such as Azure Blob storage, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, etc.
• Proficient in Azure monitoring and logging tools for performance optimization and troubleshooting (e.g Azure Monitoring Agent, Azure Log Analytics).
• Experience in configuring and managing storage solutions (e.g NAS, SAN).
• Proficiency in Azure cloud-based storage services including Azure Blob Storage, Azure File Storage, and Azure Disk Storage.
• Knowledge on data replication and disaster recovery strategy.
• Expertise in Windows Server and Linux Server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Primarily windows.
• Strong understanding of SSO, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Ability to rack, stack and cable infrastructure equipment onsite when it’s a requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering for Systems, Networking and Storage.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Excellent understanding of cloud security, identity management, and access controls.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Ability to lead projects with strategic foresight and innovative approach. Demonstrated success in independently gathering requirements and driving projects with minimal supervision.
