Description

SkyWheel Attractions is seeking a dynamic, dependable and team-oriented individual with a sharp business mentality and a drive for continuous growth to oversee the marketing department at both the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach and SkyWheel Panama City Beach locations.

The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the strategic development and creative execution of consumer and trade marketing initiatives relating to marketing plan, timelines, goals, brand standards, promotions, and communication.

Responsibilities include implementing and executing the marketing plan, driving customer engagement, leveraging branding and cultivating the brand voice across content, social platforms, publicity and PR. This position will represent SkyWheel Attractions in the marketplace, acting as a brand ambassador. Position will require travel to SkyWheel Attractions locations.

Duties and responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and administer allocated project spending and resources to drive incremental sales and maximize awareness of SkyWheel Panama City Beach and SkyWheel Myrtle Beach
  • Track, measure, and analyze marketing program results for KPIs to determine program effectiveness. Execute the ongoing annual marketing plan in line with volume and revenue targets.
  • Analyze revenue/admission data and customer insights to aid decision-making for sales and marketing strategy to meet budgeted revenue and admissions across all channels.
  • Drive online sales through online media activity and maximize the efficiency of the website from traffic to conversion.
  • Develop and execute a channel strategy in line with business objectives, overall sales, and the marketing strategy in the most cost-effective way, including product development, advertising, online, PR, promotional partnerships, and trade strategies.
  • Maximize channel strategy to deliver the most cost-efficient route to market in line with overall sales and marketing strategy.
  • Oversee all consumer touchpoints to drive demand and consideration, including brand management, paid/owned media, and distribution and sales channels.
  • Implement and execute strategic marketing initiatives and partnerships
  • Attract and generate revenue through marketing promotions and campaigns
  • Analyze and evaluate financial aspects of the attraction including the marketing budget and performance of marketing campaigns
  • Coach, mentor and develop marketing staff while providing constructive and timely feedback
  • Direct, coordinate and/or delegate all marketing activities to meet business and profitability growth objectives
  • Gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing for groups and special packages.
  • Maintains and oversees SkyWheel Attraction’s website content and development.
  • Develop and manage brand crisis response.
  • Represent SkyWheel in community affairs and industry related events
  • Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute marketing strategy
  • Manages third party marketing services
  • Develop and drive a full external media relations strategy. Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
  • Oversee the development of a wide variety of communications materials to external audiences that could include press releases, internal marketing communications, corporate position statements, corporate materials, presentations.
  • Oversees development of both paid and organic social media strategies.
  • Proactively keep up with current trends and events in marketing, social technologies, media and the local tourism industries
  • Ability to travel to attraction locations on a quarterly basis and attend trade and expo events as needed

Qualifications


Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Proven attention to detail and follow-through with excellent organizational skills for keeping detailed records, reports, and logs
  • Data driven, with a high degree of financial literacy
  • Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written English communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach, guide, manage and collaborate with a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data
  • Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
  • Effective at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to compose and lead team to execute integrated marketing and sales plans, market research, analyses, and reports, and advocate the marketing initiatives
  • Working knowledge of websites, eCommerce and mobile marketing, and social media
  • Have knowledge of marketing tactics and deliverables for traditional advertising such as print, radio, out-of-home, broadcast, online, and offline media.
  • Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
  • Strong understanding of the outside sales process, prospect development, closing, and account servicing
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals in a professional manner
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager a plus.
  • Must be able to work professionally and coordinate with all levels of the SkyWheel team, vendors and on-site venue partners
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing & Communications, Public Relations or Advertising preferred.
  • 7-10 years professional experience in Marketing and Sales with 5 years of management experience preferred.
  • Attractions, amusement/theme park, high-volume tourism, or hospitality marketing experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and complete acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check
