Summary:SkyWater Technology’s Defect & Metrology team is seeking a Process Defect Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for FAB module defect trend monitoring and will partner with other engineering groups to resolve & prevent defect excursions. This individual will learn the process flow, learn how to use the defect investigation tools, and be proactive about continuous improvement projects. If you like to tackle unknown factory related problems, this job is for you! Responsibilities:Own & maintain defect excursion reaction plans.Fab module defect trend monitoring to identify potential defect sources.Review & respond to fab defect trends using statistical process control principles.Support transition between defect management systems.Support advanced technology product transfers.Learn defect recipe creation on all defect inspection tools.Initiate and execute defect reduction projects and root source finding activities. Work on baseline improvement projects to drive yield. Required Qualifications:Education: B.S. degree in Data Science/Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Device Physics, or other related engineering degree.1 - 3 years of Defect Engineering experience.Semiconductor processing knowledge.Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).Data mining/analysis skills.Excellent troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of basic computer applications and reporting skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with coding, Python, SQL, JMP for data analysis. US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
