Founded in 1977, All Flex Solutions is a leading provider of specialty flex and rigid flex printed circuits, flexible heaters, and value-added assemblies for mission- and life-critical applications. All Flex products can be found in many applications and markets, including medical, defense, aerospace, semiconductor, industrial and telecommunications.

All Flex seeks to fill the position of Senior Process Engineer- Value Add Assembly to own hand component assembly and other value add finishing processes. The processes include component hand assembly, fine wire welding and soldering, conformal coat application, adhesive application, and wire and cable harness processing.

This is a new position, due to strong revenue growth. Come be part of a large engineering team, working in fast paced environment with significant variety. The freedom and ownership level is high. This position will be based in Bloomington, MN.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for selecting, purchasing and qualifying new equipment.
• Responsible for the assembly manufacturing processes, and achieving specific goals in an accelerated environment.
• Lead responsibility for fixture design, working with machining and surface finish vendors. Assemble and train users.
• Responsible for supporting and mentoring production employees, assisting with machine, process or part issues; daily nonconforming material resolution (root cause and action implementation)

• Responsible for process documentation and part number change requests.
• Leads cross-functional improvements. Meets with customers. Supports audits.
• Initiates improvement projects, provides technical support for new abilities.
• Controls processes. Maintains and improves process capability.
• Occasional work in our Northfield facility may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or significant relevant experience
• 7 years of hands on engineering experience
• Skilled in CAD design.
• Passionate about designing and assembling fixtures to solve challenges quickly.
• Design for manufacturability knowledge of vendor fabrication methods, like machining, welding, anodizing, and powder coating.
• Experienced in mistake prevention methodologies such as poka-yoke.
• Skilled in statistical analysis.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must possess excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
