Responsibilities
SJP Federal Credit Union is looking for a Member Service Representative (MSR) to add to our team. The MSR is responsible for the following tasks:
- Receive and post loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, loan advances, and account transfers.
- Open and close share, checking, IRA, and money market accounts.
- Process Bill Pay payments that come through the mail.
- Process mail payments and member requests.
- Sell money orders.
- Perform account maintenance on accounts as needed.
- Drawer check scan and bank deposit routines.
- Manage your cash drawer including opening and closing routines.
- Maintain member files, expense files, set up new account folders, membership cards and archive files.
- Track inventory and put together new member packets and new home loan packets.
- Prepare member literature including printing of materials and checking appropriate inventory.
- Assist members with any membership, loan or account questions.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Assist with duties requested by the Head Teller.
- Assist with duties requested by the CEO.
Qualifications
Prospective candidates should have excellent communication skills, maintain a professional appearance, and have strong cash management skills.
