Talent Buying and Talent Relations Internship- Summer 2024

MISSION:

• Ensure all booked and non-booked artists/talent teams are fully supported with necessary information, plans and materials for the event from booking through event execution.
• Act as a key contributor for providing a healthy work experience for yourself, your teammates, and for all artists/talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Launch (Preparation and announcement of event)


• General research on artists, talent, and events with an open door to present ideas and ask questions
• Observe department interaction internally and externally
• Assist in gathering necessary materials once an artist/talent has confirmed
• Review artist/talent offers and contracts with the Talent team
• Review project management deadlines on behalf of the department
• Familiarity with burgeoning, mid-level, and marquee music and entertainment acts
• Work with artist/talent teams to ensure they are welcomed and prepared for upcoming announcements.
  • Maintain internal content management system to ensure their website profile is updated and accurate

  • Work with marketing and design to ensure that all admat is accurate and ready to be shared prior to announcement.


Flight (Event Curation)

• Assist Talent Buyers with Schedule Building Process
• Assist the main Talent/Artist Relations point of contact for all artists/talent to help them understand the unique nature of our events so they can be set up for success.

  • Connect with artists/talent teams throughout year to curate their on-site experience (planning specialty sets, activities, collaborations, and more)

  • Act as a key contributor to the schedule building process, ensuring that the shows reflected on the schedule are accurate and well-balanced throughout the event.


Landing (Advancing On-Site)

• Assist the main point of contact for all non-technical advancing

  • Ensuring that cabins are booked, show schedules are accurate, and all questions are answered prior to the event.


DISCUSSIONS YOU LEAD

• Externally, act as primary liaison for all non-technical support artists/talent needs
• Internally, represent core event team as subject matter expert for all artists/talent experience needs

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE

• Must be able to receive academic credit for this unpaid internship
• Must be able to provide your own laptop
• Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes or challenges
• Computer proficiency (Email, Word, Google, and strong Excel skills)
• Familiarity with these software platforms are a plus – Slack, Monday, Outlook
