Automotive Product / Customer Service Agent

PrideStaff San Diego has a great opportunity with our client, a leader in the automotive software industry, who is based in Rancho Bernardo (San Diego area). The Automotive Product/Customer Service Agent is responsible for supporting the client’s products and services.
This is a temporary to direct opportunity with an excellent career path! The pay is up to $24.00 per hour DOE, Mon – Fri (7am to 3:30pm), and is an in-office role.

Experience Requirements :

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role per below.
• Excellent customer service skills and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in high-volume customer service center in fast-paced environment with emphasis on incoming telephone contact.
• Automotive knowledge required.
• Heavy Duty Truck knowledge a plus.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have a professional demeanor.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and be able to work under pressure.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with PC based applications.
• Punctuality and good attendance are required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Must be able to perform under pressure.
• Bi-lingual (preferred but not required).
• Able to pick-up fast-paced training and materials.
• Able to work full-time and onsite.
• Reliable transportation to Rancho Bernardo area.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required. Some College a plus.

Job Overview and Responsibilities :

In this role, you will be assisting customers with data content issues in electronic products produced by our client. You will need hand-on experience with automotive electronic products as you will be helping the client's customers on the phone (automotive mechanics) answering product content questions. You will ensure the customer’s problem is resolved and documented or forwarded appropriately. This role will also include researching, updating and maintaining content. Approx. 60% or more will be spent on the phone talking with customers. The role will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Respond to customers politely and attentively and to maintain a professional, helpful attitude at all times.
• Provide immediate determination of customer needs and to resolve or route call appropriately.
• Document all inquiries received, via telephone, email or correspondence.
• Assist customers with product content questions.
• Accurately update and maintain the incidents in the tracking software package.
• Follow procedures set in the product content support job guidelines.
• Time on the telephone taking incoming calls, making outbound calls or waiting for incoming calls should comprise of 60 to 70 percent of the time staffed per day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
