Sisters of St. Benedict Ferdinand, Indiana is Hiring an Annual Giving Assistant Near Ferdinand, IN

Exempt/Non-Exempt Status: This position shall be non-exempt from overtime as defined under the Department of Labor’s 2004 revised Fair Labor Standards Act.
Basic Function: Work on-site to process daily gift deposit, assist with Annual Giving processes, direct mail program, and is the department’s technology contact. Responsible for updating the Mission Advancement database.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process daily gifts and prepares deposits for business office.
  • Serve as database contact – responsible for conversion of new systems, orientation of new users and continued training. Also responsible for pinpointing computer problems and contacting technology director, if necessary.
  • Assist with gift entry, as needed.
  • Assist with membership programs.
  • Prepare data exchange lists and track exchange lists for acquisition.
  • Assist with annual budget and expense reports
  • Coordinate special event correspondence, registrations, and data entry.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proofreading and editing documents as needed.
  • Assist with adding and updating donors in data base.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements: Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability and knowledge for analysis and interpretation of procedures, policies, and practices (attainable through specific education and/or training programs in fundraising). Experience with Blackbaud or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database a plus.
Education and Experience: Requires advanced computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word), a basic knowledge of technology, and basic accounting skills. A bachelor’s degree or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program or 18 months to 3 years of equivalent experience.
Physical Demands: Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. Position occasionally requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
