Sisters of St. Benedict Ferdinand, Indiana is Hiring a Direct Support Assistant - Full Time Near Ferdinand, IN
- Assisting sisters with activities of daily living, including cleaning, bathing, dining, laundry and use of personal medical equipment.
- Assist through serving line or carry meal to room
- Medication reminders
- Providing assistance with vital and weight checks
- Working computer knowledge; specifically Microsoft Word,Excel and Outlook Email is a must.
- Previous health care experience is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to work with the elderly and ill.
- May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop and kneel to provide services for the sisters.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
