How you’ll make an impact:

SiriusXM is focused on delivering a world-class audio entertainment experience. The Vice President of Broadcast Systems is a senior leader responsible for operating and maintaining the SiriusXM content creation systems and the advanced broadcast systems infrastructure. A key focus of this position is the requirements development process from an operational perspective as SiriusXM looks to re-platform our broadcast infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong grasp of current and next generation broadcast system operating models and will be well versed in broadcast standards and protocols. This position is also responsible for the operational excellence of the broadcast compute, storage, and network infrastructure along with critical operations applications that enable our amazing content. This position will drive and own the operational procedures and business continuity of broadcast operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a diverse and talented team of network, compute, storage, and application support personnel focused on delivering a world-class media entertainment experience.

  • Be a subject matter expert in broadcast standards and protocols (including SMPTE 2110, MPEG).

  • Be a lead contributor in new broadcast tooling inclusive of routing automation, observability tooling and workstation configurations.

  • Lead the requirements development and input process from an operational perspective.

  • Develop and foster an inclusive culture for all our team members.

  • Ensure the highest availability of broadcast content creation systems.

  • Continually improve business continuity readiness.

  • Attract and retain the highest-caliber personnel for each team.

  • Grow and develop emerging business leaders.

  • Carefully manage and direct change management activities across both studio, network, and broadcast systems.

  • Partner closely with engineering teams for both issue resolution and new capability development.

  • Drive a culture of innovation and be an agent of change.

  • Cultivate a culture that rewards aggressive pursuit of innovative solutions to problems.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar field.

  • 12-15 years managing operational and/or engineering teams.

  • Experience with broadcast content creation systems and general IT infrastructure.

  • Experience with Evertz systems including Magnum OS and Vue.

  • Experience in contributing to system design and schematics.

  • Experience leading business continuity efforts.

  • Proven ability to recruit and retain world-class engineers.

  • Excellent managerial skills and interpersonal skills; effectively communicate and collaborate with all areas of engineering, ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $188,800 to $260,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
