How You’ll Make an impact:

The Senior Quality Engineer’s primary responsibilities will be to define, implement, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a provable track record of designing, implementing, and automated testing sophisticated software architectures and will have been directly responsible for writing comprehensive software test scripts and executing and analyzing test reports.

What you’ll do:

• Work with the QE team, software engineers, product managers, and other product stakeholders to understand end-to-end system functionality, product features, and the complete set of requirements for the software

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and execute automated & manual test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the supported systems

• Generate testing completion metrics and analysis

• Anticipate potential quality problems. Work closely with the team to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed

• Solve complex automation challenges and work on projects with minimal supervision

• Set and review automation framework guidelines

• Perform automated test demos and walk-through tests with other team members

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar education and/or experience

• 3-5 years of test automation experience

• Frontend Web App and/or Backend Service/API Test Automation

• Testing Enterprise Web Apps Running in Cloud Environments like AWS or GCP

• Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, usability, longevity, edge case, integration, and server-side API testing

• Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites

• Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner

• Demonstrated initiative and follow-through on process improvements, investigations of new technologies, and POCs

• Experience working with REST APIs

• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Jenkins, to create and maintain automation and manual testing infrastructure

• Experience with SDLC and tooling, such as GIT, branching/merging, building systems, and continuous integration

• Strong comprehension of automated testing implementation and strategies

• Tester's mindset, curiosity, communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting

• Self-driven, independent, responsible

• Technical Skills:

  • Java

  • Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, GraphQL

  • Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, TestNG

• Bonus points for experience in the following:

  • Ads domain

  • Confluence, Jira, Slack, TestRail

  • Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Cucumber, Gherkin

  • Experience with testing databases (SQL)

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $60/hr to $80/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
