Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 /year
Project Location: Fargo, ND
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION - GOVERNMENT PROGRAMSSeeking a Construction Administrator to join our team to support a construction program at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND. The Construction Administrator will report to a Program Manager as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on major construction, seismic, real property, and other special projects.
ResponsibilitiesThis list is not considered all-inclusive and may be modified in specific task orders. The CM services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts.
TASK 1. Pre-Design/Design Phasei. Scheduling
ii. Planning
iii. Value Engineering
iv. Market Analysis
v. Constructability and Phasing Review
TASK 2. Construction Period Phasei. Establishing temporary field offices
ii. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting
iii. Construction Phase scheduling
iv. Progress Meetings
v. Assisting in issue resolution.
vii. Commissioning
viii. Performing additional construction-related services

Qualifications
- The Construction Manager may possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for the absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability. A detailed dossier shall be presented.
- The Contract Administrator shall possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management. They shall be familiar with the site operations of a General and Subcontractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
- Have working experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance. The Contract Administrator shall have experience in preparing, analyzing, and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the contractor's work in relationship with the construction documents. In addition, they shall understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
- Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified task order scope of work required solicitation.
- The Construction Manager shall present projects of the scale and difficulty at which he/she held a similar position.
- The Construction Manager must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy.
