Our company is a leading independent insurance agency located in Logansport, IN specializing in Crop Insurance.

Job Description
The successful candidate will deal with agents, customers and company representatives on a daily basis. This job involves processing and maintaining policies and claims records, farm field mapping, problem solving and general office tasks. Attention to detail is critical in processing insurance policies and claims across a system of varied proprietary company software platforms.

Qualifications
Experience with Agriculture and/or Insurance is an advantage. Solid computer, grammar, communication and multi-tasking skills. Strong attention to detail. Must have outgoing personality, MS Office proficiency, excellent telephone and people skills, an aptitude to learn quickly and work efficiently, be creative and a pro-active problem solver. Self-motivated and disciplined.

Responsibilities

  • Process and record new insurance policies and claims internally and with insurance companies (AIP)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information. A non-disclosure statement must be signed by all employees.
  • Process and submit forms such as Acreage Reports, Actual Production History (APH), etc.
  • Examine documents for completeness, accuracy, signatures and conformance to standards
  • Accurately maintain client & policy records in agency database
  • Modify, update and process existing policies and claims to reflect any change (as directed by agents) in amount of coverage, type of insurance, power of attorney, etc.
  • Communicate with agents, underwriters or adjusters at several insurance companies regarding insurance policy issues and claims
  • Scanning documents & maintaining digital file management system
  • Respond to client inquiries
  • Assist in preparing quotations for agents prior to their personal sales calls
  • Support & assist agents as needed
  • Report & process claims to insurance companies
  • Maintain status of outstanding claims in agency database
  • Communicate with clients or agents to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
