Role

The Senior Product Manager is a key role responsible for managing SimpliGov’s main product offering, the SimpliGov Workflow Automation Platform. The Senior Product Manager will be expected to build relationships with the SimpliGov end-user community to capture product adoption challenges, evolving end-user requirements and opportunities to increase product engagement to inform overall product strategy and help deliver new features to market. You will play a central role in defining the product roadmap and assist product development team with prioritization of features for release scheduling. You will prepare and drive release communications both internally and to our customers in concert with our customer success and marketing teams.

By default, you will become a SimpliGov Platform SME, able to personally design, configure, implement and test automated workflows on the platform. Willingness and ability to get hands-on with our own tools is very important in this role and underscores the technical nature of this position. You will also need to present and demonstrate SimpliGov solutions and act as our internal customer advocate, making sure that customer needs are translated into product feature requirements. You will help drive overall end-user engagement and communication by championing quarterly end-user meetings and associated interactive forums.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continually execute product vision and strategy for the SimpliGov Workflow Automation Platform
• Maintain and communicate a prioritized roadmap to support SimpliGov’s strategic product development
• Work closely with customers and customer success to understand problems, capture new ideas, and manage a prioritized backlog of product requirements & feature requests and unmet needs
• Gather, solicit, and analyze SimpliGov customer feedback and facilitate quarterly end-user interactive panels & events
• Communicate and evangelize the value of the SimpliGov Workflow Automation Platform by defining, tracking and reporting on key success metrics and developing associated customer use cases
• Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, services and marketing teams to streamline product strategy and ensure market alignment
• Develop product roadmap priorities through their customer engagement and industry assessment
• Leverage customer and customer success insights to propose and implement effective platform optimizations
• Collect and synthesize platform engagement metrics and regularly present and share with the SimpliGov leadership team

Position Requirements

• 3 years of technology product management experience, preferably with multi-tenant enterprise SaaS companies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop product roadmaps and use customer insights to inform short and long-term product strategy
• Experience leading and facilitating end user meetings, workshops, and executive level presentations 
• Experience working closely with engineering teams with a good understanding of modern dev technologies and processes
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
