Job Description:We are searching for a detail-oriented and ambitious Accounting Intern to support our accounting team with various tasks. As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to different areas of the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing
- Support the month-end close process by assisting with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document organization
- Assist with special accounting projects as assigned
- Collaborate with members of the accounting team and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate accounting processes
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise ethical behavior in all aspects of work
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges
