Housekeeper 

Silver Hill Hospital has a Full-Time opportunity for a Housekeeper who will assist with cleaning & maintaining the public and patient areas of the hospital buildings. The shift is from 6:30AM to 3:00PM, working a 40-hour schedule each week. Environmental Services Associates work every third weekend and every other holiday, with comparable time off before and after weekend worked.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.
• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms.
• Cleans and disinfects kitchen, dining, rooms and offices.
• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
• Removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets.
• Places and neatly tucks clean sheets and blankets on beds and replaces pillowcases.
• Stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Picks up and empties trash containers.
• Loads washers and dryers and folds sheets and towels in laundry room as needed.
• Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English/Spanish to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

Education and Experience:

• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping department in a healthcare or hospitality setting
• Experience cleaning patient rooms, kitchens & public areas

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds at times.
