Medical Appointment Scheduler

This position makes new patient and follow-up appointments from incoming calls and online requests.

• Schedules patient appointments by phone.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics.
• Document insurance information into the system.
• Schedules appointments with physicians and NP/PA providers.
• Reschedule appointments as necessary.
• Display a positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous, and professional attitude.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA Guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

· High school diploma required

· A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Competency to use computer systems, software, and basic office equipment such as scanners, calculators, and printers

· Ability to work without constant direction / instruction

· Flexible with attention to detail

· Ability to work as a team member and make appropriate decisions
