Title: Franchise Development Manager

Department: Franchise Development

Reports to: Franchise Development Sr. Manager

Location: Omaha, NE

Travel Required: Occasional as to attend annual convention, seminars, and events, less than 25%

Compensation: $65k - $90k, Exempt, based on experience; plus commission

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Our corporate office sells franchises, launches them, and provides all the facets of business support and development.


Your Role.

The Franchise Development Manager is responsible for the successful identification and processing of prospective Franchise Owners through the evaluation and mutual selection process.

What Youll Do in This Role.


Marketing 50%

  • Initiate immediate outbound contact for online inquiries about franchise ownership.
  • Develop communication templates (emails, phone scripts, etc.) and utilize to engage interactively with prospective franchise owners.
  • Work with other departments to create interactive presentations and other content.
  • Review potential franchise owner targets; create and execute outbound campaigns.
  • Utilize LinkedIn and other social media tools and systems for proactive prospecting.
  • Draft proposals for potential franchise territory, including pricing and financing options.


Relationship Development 40%

  • Create first impressions to nurture long-term relationships with potential owners.
  • Filter, prioritize and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Complete successful transfer of warm, qualified leads to Franchise Development with the goal of forwarding on prospects who are determined to be partner matches.
  • Actively engage prospective franchise owners in discussions to understand their background, qualifications, and interest, summarizing and documenting in our CRM tool.
  • Cultivate a relationship with prospective franchise owners built on trust and candor.


Research/Data Analytics 10%

  • Perform market research on existing security companies in targeted locations.
  • Manage reports and dashboards measuring Franchise Development activity and outcomes.
  • Utilizing multiple data sources, create mapping and analysis of potential franchise territories.
  • Create reports to quantify potential market size and franchise territory revenue opportunity.
  • Research, identify, and cultivate new prospects to build a pipeline of targeted candidates for franchise ownership.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • High School diploma required; college degree strongly preferred
  • 5 Years of Sales Experience or Proven Sales Track Record
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
  • Understanding of social media marketing strategies is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public and client interaction, presentations, and proposal writing
  • Ability to interact with all levels of Signal employees and the public in a direct, timely, and professional manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other relevant computer applications
  • Deeply passionate about our mission, and can articulate why

Skills/Abilities:

  • Clear ability to set and achieve stretch goals
  • Proven understanding of and ability to follow a disciplined sales process
  • Demonstrated experience planning and organizing marketing campaigns
  • Skilled communicator able to build rapport and properly evaluate franchise candidates
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and users on the telephone.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to evaluate options and manage multiple projects or tasks
  • Team player mentality able to work independently yet collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritization, scheduling, and time management
  • Experience in performing market research or competitive intelligence is helpful
  • Familiarity with recruiting, sales and marketing and a basic understanding of psychology
  • Must be able to pass a background check including Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Office Environment:

As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions (walking between buildings, networking events).
