Sign Zone is Hiring a Customer Service Representative Near Orangeburg, NY

This position is working with our AAA Innovations team in Orangeburg, NY and is part of Sign-Zone, LLC. AAA Innovations manufactures and sells umbrellas, boat bags, duffels, as well as outdoor recreational products including chairs, coolers, tents, grills, and games. We are looking for a talented Customer Service Associate to join our growing team. You will be responsible for supporting our customers by taking phone calls, processing orders, and providing information about our products and services. In this position you must be proactive and possess the ability to assist, plan, coordinate, and initiate action when appropriate. The Customer Service Associate must have strong customer facing skills and have a passion for providing a legendary customer service experience.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Directly support customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  • Provide pricing, inventory, product and delivery information
  • Monitor art approvals for orders and resolve order/art rejections
  • Monitor delivery dates making sure orders are approved within a reasonable time frame
  • Manage ship dates based on art approval and contact customer if needed to adjust
  • Manage daily reports and Programs if requested for Key accounts
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
  • Record details of actions taken
  • Monitor overseas orders by working with other departments to make sure orders are on time
  • Enter sample orders for customers and Sales Person for shows
  • Answer telephones
  • Provide coverage for other CS team members when out of office
  • Responsible for small quotes and inquires and other needs while traveling
  • Create a work environment that is positive and supports individual efforts and department success
  • Create long term relationships with customers through superior work and professional representation of the company
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience and data entry accuracy are essential. Use of phones, copiers, calculators, and other office equipment is required.
  • Good grammar and oral communication skills are required including clear speaking voice and positive phone manner.
  • Ability to work in teams to ensure that all work required each day is completed
  • Good mathematical, problem solving, documentation, strong interpersonal skills and listening skills
  • Ability to coordinate proper communication between departments to ensure high quality response to customer expectations
  • Ability to resolve conflict, analyze information, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and time pressures
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
