About the Company

Growing Southern California interior/exterior sign manufacturer is looking for Inside Sales and Sales Support Representation for our Santa Ana location with a minimum of two years B2B sales and/or customer service experience, along with a proven track record. We are looking to increase sales with our high volume, low revenue accounts and support our outside sales team. This is a relationship-based business, proven ability in inside sales/customer service and ability to support our account managers is paramount. This position requires business professionalism and a candidate who is capable of keeping up in a diverse, fast paced work environment.

Sign Specialists Corporation is a growing sign company with expertise in custom interior and exterior signage systems. We are unique in that we manufacture more than 90% of all products that we sell from base materials. The company has approximately 50 employees. Position Summary

Duties:

  • Focuses primarily on established high volume, low revenue repeat purchase accounts.
  • On an as needed basis, prepares low revenue and low complexity quotes and emails finished quotes to clients on their behalf.
  • Prepares initial quote framework and then notifies assigned sales representative of need to schedule a site survey to take measurements, capture images, verify colors, etc.
  • Communicate with assigned Sales Representatives to ensure they become actively engaged in follow up and follow through of all quotes assigned to them.
  • Supports Sales Representative's requests while they are in the field by retrieving and providing critical information.
  • Adequately describes project quotes, submits sufficient basic information, and details and prepares a satisfactory framework for the quotation in order to expedite the process.
  • Follows through with qualifying opportunities, inquiries, quotes, open sales orders, and artwork proofs awaiting client approval in a timely manner to secure sales, advances the secured project and the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Follows through with quotes, sales orders, artwork proofs, client requested information to maintain momentum and ensure that projects conclude or when necessary are properly closed out or cancelled.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
  • Ideal candidate will have a successful background selling or providing customer service to a variety of different customer types. Business to Business, property management companies, direct end users, construction companies, hospitals, and other vertical markets.
  • Consultant type mentality, strives to clearly understand client needs.
  • Tenacious, self-motivated and self-disciplined hard charger that is not afraid to proactively pursue business.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and stay organized is a must.
  • Willingness to follow through with the accounts receivable department to ensure all invoices are paid on time.
  • Engages customers and prospects by working assigned accounts and igniting new sales opportunities.
  • Focused on follow through, sees opportunities and tasks from start to completion.
  • Thoroughness, digs for details, acquires information, able to document and effectively communicate (report) information to team members.
  • There is a steep industry and software (internal systems and processes) learning curve, candidate must have an aptitude and willingness to learn, being trainable, coachable, and teachable is paramount.
  • Experience in the signage industry is beneficial however, the ideal candidate has an aptitude for learning, is coachable and trainable.
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints a plus.

Work Hours

  • 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
  • Note: This is a Business-to-Business Inside Sales and Sales Support Position and the hours indicated above reflect the majority of hours that would involve client interaction.
  • Except for internal training and mandatory company meetings, Sales Staff are responsible for setting their own schedule and high-performance achievers typically invest time outside of normal business hours to perform administrative responsibilities.
