SIFMA is Hiring an Associate, Member Engagement Near Washington, DC

SIFMA is looking for an Associate, Member Engagement. As a member of the team, you will assist with the implementation of the team’s member recruitment and retention strategies. This position is responsible for coordinating member meetings, updating and maintaining accurate database records, creating reports, and working closely with the team to help build and maintain strong relationships with members and prospective members.

This position may be located in either SIFMA’s New York office or Washington, DC office. As an Associate, Member Engagement, your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • This relationship-building position has direct communication with members and will need to provide superior customer service by responding to member inquiries in a timely, helpful, & courteous manner.
  • Coordinate the logistics of in-person meetings for SIFMA staff advisors to visit members and prospective members. Prepare the relevant meeting materials for the in-person visits and assist with any follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership data in the CRM database (ProTech).
  • Utilize the CRM database (ProTech) to track engagements, generate reports, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Onboard new committee members, provide committee recommendations, and handle any related changes to the data for committee engagements in ProTech.
  • Create member engagement reports.
  • Assist Premium Associate Members with taking full advantage of their benefits and ensuring ongoing connectivity. Including but not limited to, coordinating marketing and event logistics.
  • Assist with renewals and invoicing for Premium Associate Members and the asset managers as needed.
  • Collaborate with team and other departments to create marketing strategy and communications collateral, including promotional materials and direct mail pieces, for members and prospective members.
  • Contribute to the membership dues statistics and forecasting reports.
  • Represent the association at select in-person meetings and events.
  • Conduct research on new prospects.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant membership, trade association, and/or financial services industry experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Highly detail-oriented and enjoys working with data.
  • Technical skills including a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Zoom and Teams. Quick to learn other virtual platforms.
  • Familiarity or a willingness to learn about the regulatory and legislative environment of the financial services industry to better serve the needs of members.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion.
  • Member and mission-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage/coordinate multiple administrative tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
