Position Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedDisc Jockeyto provide high quality entertainment and music at our new sporting themed entertainment venue. You will be working with technicians, performers, and venue managers to create an energetic and exceptional entertainment experience for our operations and special events.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as DJ, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment scenery.
• Understand basic audio, lighting, and video principles.
• Understand the basic principles of DJ mixing, beat-matching songs and playing music.
• Must know how to setup, operate, and maintain the DJ and audio equipment (Mixers, turntables, CD players, etc.).
• Must have the ability to serve as an effective Master of ceremonies (EMCEE) for shoutouts, announcements, or presentations for our operations or special events.
• Positive, professional demeanor, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and grow skills.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the entertainment and music of the venue, setting the appropriate atmosphere making sure the lighting and the video are all synchronized with the music and production in accordance with venue’s concept and operations.
• Perform live DJ sets at designated moments throughout the operation playing and mixing diverse and appropriate genres of music that are suitable for the venue’s theming and concept.
• In special sporting live broadcasting or streaming events, the Disc Jockey will provide music, shout-outs, and special announcements during commercial breaks.
• Entertain guests, as an Emcee (MC) providing shout-outs and special announcements during the operation. In some cases, will interact with guests to encourage crowd participation and create an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere.
• Stay in tune with the latest music trends, genres, and songs.
• Be accessible and approachable with guests when requesting music related inquiries or other considerations.
• Collaborate with managers, and event organizers to establish a smooth workflow for flawless operations.
• Prompt and organized to ensure on-time readiness with the production and venue operation times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, in accordance with the venue’s code of conduct standards, and uniform guidelines.
• Attend all design and production meetings.
• Attend all tech rehearsals and rework all audio cues and music, if necessary.
• Report and assist the entertainment division management on equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting and repairs of any audio or DJ equipment.
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of the working area, ensuring it always remains in excellent working conditions.
• Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the audio and DJ equipment related to the audio system.
• In some cases, assist other production team members on certain duties related to the operation, production, and maintenance.

Education:

• High School Diploma or the General Educational Development (GED).
• Must be at least eighteen (18) of age.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
• Three years of experience djing at a nightclub or bar setting.
• Intermediate knowledge of Pioneer DJ gears (CDJ’s, Mixers, controllers)
• Stage production, nightclub, bar, or hospitality background.
• Leadership experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of sports disciplines.
• Specialize in one or more of the following technical disciplines:
• Experience operating ChamSys Magic Q Lighting Software.
• Intermediate knowledge of visual operations using Arkaos, video switcher, Apple TV, and other digital components.
• Intermediate knowledge of all music genres, from the 1960’s to the latest trends in music.
• Intermediate knowledge of the usage of a computer, either Windows PC or MacOS.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
• Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
