SIERRA LODGINGS INC is Hiring a Bell Attendant - Caribe Royale Orlando Hotel Near Orlando, FL

Department: Front Office

Position: Bell Attendant

Reports to: Assistant Bell Captain

Scope of Position

Bell Attendants are responsible for helping guests with their luggage during check-in and check-out. Their duties include greeting guests during arrival, and departure, retrieval of guests' luggage, escorting guests, describing room facilities, luggage verifications, and ensuring the lobby area is in order and clean. Bell persons ensure the safe storage of luggage. Bell persons must also maintain friendly and attentive service. Other duties may include providing directions and any other questions regarding the resort.

Position Requirements

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a AAA 4-Diamond Resort.
  • Previous Bell Attendant experience preferred.
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and responding to the concerns and issues raised by guests.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting guests with their luggage during check-in and check-out.
  • Greeting guests during arrival and departure.
  • Retrieving guests' luggage.
  • Escorting guests to their Suites.
  • Describing room facilities and answering any resort-related questions.
  • Verifying luggage.
  • Ensuring the lobby area is in order and clean.
  • Providing information about the hotel and local area.
  • Offering a range of customer service duties.
  • Assist valet in times of high volume (when necessary). May need to drive automatic or manual vehicle.
  • May need to drive automatic or manual vehicle.
  • Maintains and adheres to company values.
  • To assume any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

or

  • At least two (2) years of Hospitality experience in similar environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Previous knowledge of PMS system preferred including in Opera, Nuvola, Runtriz or similar programs.

Physical Requirements

  • On a continuous basis, stand at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
  • Also requires walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
  • Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 100 pounds.

I will also adhere to any OSHA (safety) practices and wear any assigned PPE (personal protective equipment) as needed.
