Job Summary

Siegwerk is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Financial Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time, direct hire on-site position, reporting to the Business Unit Controller. Candidate must be willing to live in the Des Moines area. (Relocation assistance available.)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare cost development reports on a monthly basis, identify trends in financial data and recommends further analysis or corrective action accordingly.

• Prepare financial models for new business opportunities, capital expenditure projects and other special projects.

• Provide analytical support to management teams, which includes managing KPIs and performing cost analysis.

• Validate cost savings projections for capital projects and track capital expenditures

• Identify improvement opportunities, drive execution and accountability to maximize plant and business unit financial performance including improving site profitability, manufacturing cost optimization, & working capital management.

• Work with business unit controller and department managers to monitor actual results against budget and perform other ad-hoc analysis.

• Research and present financial implications of new business decisions to internal business partners.

• Support preparation of management presentations and other ad-hoc analyses.

• Desire and ability to learn about the business and understand the production process by regularly walking through the production floor to develop the necessary link between the production processes and financial performance.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

• Reliable member of a cross functional team focused on achieving shared goals.

• Must be able to relay complex accounting/technical concepts and financial data to a non-finance audience

• Proven self-starter who requires limited supervision and direction, yet achieves tasks and overcomes problems.

• Adopts an active approach and a perpetual willingness to get personally involved in order to increase the pace and efficiency and achieve departmental, plant and Company goals and objectives.

• Superior prioritization and time management skills.

• Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information.

• Must be a team player, contributing effectively to team performance and supporting team members

• Strong problem solving and ability to work through details of a situation to reach a solution

• Strong adaptability, resilience, and organization, comfortably shifting among multiple tasks and initiatives

• Communication: - Can relay complex accounting/technical concepts in layman’s terms

• Maintains ownership over responsibilities and identifies and executes necessary follow-up.

• Strong understanding of all financials including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with strong cost accounting and controlling experience.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance with 3-5 years of related work experience in manufacturing sector

• Prior experience in SAP and cost/plant controlling

• Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint required. Ability to create, maintain, and understand complex spreadsheets and database applications.

• Broad understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as applicable and ability to apply accounting principles, practices and techniques
