About The Opportunity:
The Sr Manager, Product Analytics - Business Intelligence will be responsible for delivering insights and recommendations to drive growth, engagement and satisfaction of our customers. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional (mainly product, tech and marketing) teams to develop data-informed strategies to monitor and optimize the customer journey and ecommerce conversion funnel. In particular this role will focus on supporting our growing product development team as they look to aggressively evolve our existing product set with competitive innovation.
You will also be responsible for developing internal BI capabilities and democratizing data across the organization. You will report on key business measures, deliver insights, develop compelling data visualizations, data mine, and tell our story to current and prospective business partners. This is a full-time position and can be at our headquarters in New York City, or several other major offices, or can be fully remote.
The Day to Day:
Deliver insights and recommendations to help leadership and cross-functional stakeholders better understand new product launches, business performance, customer behavior and support strategic and tactical decisions to improve outcomes
Directly support our product development team with all aspects of product analytics including strategic thought leadership, new product hypothesis generation, test planning and design, measurement and reporting, full deep-dive analysis, etc.
Contribute to meaningful revenue growth and margin improvement by generating business-focused, actionable insights by synthesizing data and obtaining organizational buy-in through effective communication
You will be "in the weeds," building/analyzing models, proving and disproving hypotheses, and making recommendations on operational and strategic initiatives
Deliver and automate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting; design and build visually engaging and informative dashboards
Present and share analyses and findings to stakeholders; 'telling the story' and identifying drivers and opportunities of business performance
Partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders on key initiatives, programs, resource planning, and special projects related to strategy
Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time issues
Partner with the Data technology team to evolve the data infrastructure to support ongoing business needs
Participate in thought leadership around defining, growing and leading BI next generation best practices and scale. Specifically, come with a point of view on data, tools, process governance, experimentation tool development, etc.
What you'll bring to the Role:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, analytics, math, statistics or related field. MBA a plus.
5-7 years experience in a business intelligence or analytics role (Product/Web Analytics a strong plus) with a strong focus on delivering insights and recommendations, creating engaging data visualizations and building analytics capabilities to support business needs.
2-4 years of experience successfully delivering analytic solutions, ideally in an Ecommerce environment and/or a global technology environment.
4 years experience working with SQL and other programming languages (R, Python) to analyze, explore, and mine large data sets to support reporting, dashboard building, and ad-hoc analysis.
4 years experience planning data or analytics projects.
4 years experience with A/B testing.
Experience in subscription-based products a plus; Experience with product pricing/packaging analysis a plus.
Strong analytic capability and business acumen going beyond descriptive analytics to uncover the "why" behind the "what" and driving a strong understanding of user and customer behavior and translating that into business impact and results.
Consultative nature, with proven track record of using data to answer business questions
Proven experience building compelling and engaging data visualization and presentation.
Proven experience creating and automating reports and dashboards and working with enterprise data visualization tools (Domo, Looker, Tableau, etc).
Competency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, Powerpoint/Google Slides.
Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
Collaborative and exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. Entrepreneurial and results-oriented. Strong work ethic. Does what it takes to get the job done and naturally goes the extra mile.

* 165,000 - 185,000 per year in New YorkNote: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
