Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Education Coordinator to join our team.
The Clinical Education Coordinator acts as a clinical resource, educator, clinical nursing student instructor and consultant to facilitate orientation, training, education and competency development within the hospital environment. The Coordinator works within the Staff Development framework to accomplish departmental goals and objectives and supports Patient Care Services by facilitating the planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care services orientation and education.
Oversees the Occupational Health programs and ensures program meets hospital needs and complies with policies, state and federal law, CMS and the Joint Commission (TJC) standards. Monitoring the employee health program including screening applicants, educating staff, providing referrals as requested, and tracking employee health occurrences and work related injuries.
Education
Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) required. Masters in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Skills
3 years in pediatric critical care, surgical or orthopaedic required
experience in staff development and training preferred
RN license in state of practice required
