Job Summary

The Enterprise Regional Solutions Director is a technical pre-sales manager who is customer- and partner-facing. This role supports a team of engineers whose focus is on bringing the right technical solutions to meet customer needs. The RSD will coach, train, and be involved in customer meetings to move the process forward and actively close deals with the team.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to: 

  • Engaging with multiple layers of contacts within a client’s organization, including but not limited to CIO, CTO, IT Directors, and Application Managers, to sell, build relationships, and uncover opportunities. 
  • Collaborating with sales teams to help close deals by speaking to the technical side of recommended solutions. 
  • Developing the region/territory based on strategic account planning through collaboration with sales leadership and extended ASG team. 
  • Engaging the Local Technology Community (MFGs and SI Partners) and the appropriate customer technical personnel to establish market credibility. 
  • Strategically training sales teams on the positioning of company solution practices, ensuring that they understand customers' ongoing enterprise needs. 
  • Monitoring employee performance and attendance records, acting on performance issues in a fair and consistent manner, providing actionable feedback, and driving employee recognition. 
  • Executing SHI Sales Methodology and strategy with direct reports, sales counterparts, partners, and customers with Regional Sales Teams. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum 5 years in a Pre-Sales Technical role 
  • Minimum 5 years working in complex Data Center, Cloud, Collaboration, Security, and Network sales opportunities. 
  • Experience working with enterprise technology organizations (Dell/EMC, HPE, Cisco, VMWare, AWS, Microsoft, Palo Alto, Customers, etc.) and knowledge of the competitive IT landscape. 
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience

  • Ability to qualify and profile accounts
  • Capacity to think critically about a subject and analyze ways that action would affect the outcome. 
  • Ability to take a consultative approach with an expert understanding of how data center technology enables business success. 
  • Advanced knowledge of servers, storage, cloud, security, networking, and virtualization and their business impact 

Unique Requirements

  • The position requires up to 35% travel to meet business needs 

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 - $275,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
