Job Title: Trial Associate

Status: Full-Time

Qualifications: Must have Courtroom and Discovery Experience and NC State Bar License

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $100,000 per year plus bonus. Position switches to commission after 1 year after case load has matured. Average commission after 12 months is from $125,000 - $150,000 and usually increases yearly.

In 2023, Shane Smith Law was named the second most influential law firm in the Charlotte market. At Shane Smith Law, our focus is on creating a supportive and empowering culture, promoting growth, and delivering an outstanding experience for each and every client. We are currently expanding our practice and in need of a Trial Associate to join our team.

We handle all of the heavy lifting such as client acquisition and back office support. What we are looking for is an attorney that can effectively negotiate with the insurance company and medical providers as well as supply case approvals and second tier client contact.

We are looking for someone who will be aggressive in representing our clients in getting compensation for their injuries. We are firm believers in the philosophies of trial lawyers Don Keenan & Nick Rowley. We want someone who is not afraid to try hard cases, someone who is willing to look at the total cost of injuries of our clients including past, present, and future costs, someone who will advocate for them whether they were in a parking lot collision or hit by a tractor trailer on the highway.
