Job Title: Registered Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant

Location: Atlanta, GA

Rate: $2,100 Weekly

Shift: 36hrs - 3x12hrs -7p - 7a - Nights

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit. As a Registered Nurse in this specialized field, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the success of our patients' treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical and psychological evaluations
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy agents, and monitor patients for adverse reaction
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and other diagnostic data to assess patient status
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and self-care measures
• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures as needed
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcome

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
• Experience working with bone marrow transplant patients is highly preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture and administering injections
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
