Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Tactical Networks (TACNET) is a Program of Record (POR) family of systems that are fielded on U.S. Navy ships, submarines and shore sites. TACNET provides mission support capabilities for CANES Pre-installation Test and Checkout, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), CANES Training, and support to TACNET In Service Engineering.

• The Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF) Atlantic, performs pre-installation receipt, storage, management, engineering support, fleet integration and engagement and hardware/software configuration for CANES racks and peripherals prior to delivery to Alteration Installation Team (AIT) for shipboard installation and ISEA Shipboard Configuration and SOVT. NIEF LANT provides shipboard support for hardware and software issues through SOVT and has many ongoing CANES ship set activities across multiple baselines with varying schedules for execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS/GED & cert within 1.5 yrs
• Five (5) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.
• Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications.
• Active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance
