Qualifications:
SETTY is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 years’ experience to work at our New York City office. The dynamic role calls for an energetic and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer capable of independently performing various phases of design.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. The candidate should thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment while the industry and company go through substantial growth.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Capable of independently performing various phases of design, including conceptual design to construction documents, engineering calculations, HVAC load calculations, HVAC system sizing & selection, specifications, and construction observations/ support for federal, healthcare, laboratory, and pharmaceutical projects.
- Should respond to all RFIs, review shop drawings, code review and analysis, conduct field visits.
- Develop punch lists for project closeouts.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Serve as a representative of the firm both internally and externally.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- P.E. license is a plus.
- Must have 5-10 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- AutoCAD and REVIT proficient.
- Proficient knowledge of psychometrics.
- USGBC LEED a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Good communication skills essential for team-based working.
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
