Full Job Description
Join a wonderful local team as an Assistant Construction Manager and make your mark in the construction industry! We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Assistant Construction Manager to provide construction services on small projects and assist in managing larger ones. With a focus on customer satisfaction, project communication, and cost control, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that each project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing construction services as required
- Resolving punch list items and performing final walk-throughs with customers
- Communicating project updates and coordinating with subcontractors
- Scheduling projects with the Construction Manager/Coordinator
- Documenting project activities and managing change orders
- Maintaining quality standards through site inspections and evaluating subcontractors
- Ensuring all work performed complies with plans, specifications, and local codes
Requirements:
- Superb customer service skills
- Effective written and oral communication
- Basic math skills
- Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred
- Knowledge and skills to perform construction services
- High school diploma/GED
Physical Requirements:
- Walking and/or standing throughout the day
- Some heavy lifting of materials
- Some driving and sitting
- Occasionally climbing ladders
- Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat and loud noise levels
- Exposure to power tools and other machinery
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and Travel Requirements:
This is a full-time position working 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including some evening and weekend work. Travel is required and is primarily local.
