Description
Are you someone with a passion to serve those who have an intellectual or developmental disability? We are seeking candidates who desire a family work environment with a passion to serve those who are less fortunate. Our Caregivers / direct support professionals (DSPs) are responsible for the health and welfare of the residents in our care while ensuring a "family" type home atmosphere. The caregiver serves as a direct support professional (DSP) to our people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our caregivers perform a variety of tasks for our persons supported in well maintained homes that are owned and managed by Sertoma. As a caregiver/ DSP you will aid our persons served by providing them with compassionate care, encouragement, and instruction throughout their day-to-day life. You will be working at one of our 34 homes located across Knoxville, TN. Each home provides residential services to 1-4 individuals that we serve and support who appreciate your compassionate care for them. Sertoma offers a manageable workload by assigning no more than 4 individuals to a single caregiver/ DSP.
