Caregiver
Duties:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in health status
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow resident rights guidelines and ensure privacy and dignity are respected
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients
- Document care provided and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
Skills:
- First aid and CPR certification
- Experience in patient care, preferably in a home care or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations governing caregiving services
- Understanding of working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to provide social work support to clients and their families
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean environment
