Sequoia Biotech Consulting is Hiring a Lab Technician Near Boston, MA
Sequoia is looking for a Lab Technician to assist with laboratory testing and equipment management. This position requires an individual with expertise and demonstrated understanding of analytical methods, quality control, and laboratory techniques. This position will work in a laboratory environment and perform analytical tests.
Responsibilities:
- Provides non-technical or basic technical support to laboratory personnel.
- Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing.
- Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Troubleshoots breakdowns, maintains supplies, performs preventive maintenance, and calls for repairs.
- Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selects corrective steps.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in a related field
- Prior experience with laboratory techniques and equipment preferred.
