Description

Geotechnical Laboratory Technician

Geocomp - GeoTesting Express (GTX), provides comprehensive geotechnical laboratory and field testing services of soil, rock, geosynthetics and other materials below the ground surface. GTX determines the physical and mechanical properties of underground material for site characterization, geotechnical design, quality control and performance assessment purposes. Utilizing state-of-the-art automated testing equipment, advanced processes and automation, GTX provides clients with fast turnaround and accurate test results. We are looking for a candidate to join our dynamic laboratory.

If so, we want you at Gecomp in our Soil and Rock testing lab. This is a great opportunity for an entry level candidate to join our dynamic geotechnical testing laboratory in Acton, MA. There is room for advancement for people with these qualifications.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Laboratory testing of rock, soil, and geosynthetics
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Assist with other laboratory projects
  • Maintain high standards for safety and quality

Qualifications include:

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast pace, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • No previous laboratory experience necessary

Physical demands:

Lab environment requires bending, lifting up to 50lbs, standing and/or sitting at lab bench or desk.

Working conditions:

Laboratory testing: standard laboratory environment; Field testing: typical constructions sites
