Senior Manager Merch Operations Strategy & Development

Your role at Sephora:

As our Senior Manager of Merchandising Operations Strategy & Development you will work with Merchandising leadership to develop long term strategy for technology tool needs, learning & development needs and process improvements. Support and lead the Merchandising team by managing strategic development of new and existing technology tools for the team. Partner with leadership to develop best in class Merchandising Learning & Development curriculum for the organization. Responsible for all onboarding and development programs for the Merchandising team, leveraging the company’s Learning & Development group.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with Merchandising and Tech leadership to evaluate workflow process, conduct needs assessments, and consult in software selection and recommendations of solution options.
  • Creates the direction of department resources and ensures proper implementation by team with conducting needs analysis and robust adjustments to training content.
  • Responsible for increasing productivity of the department’s merchandising operational objectives using L&D strategies based on the needs of the business.
  • Develops capabilities to build tactics and strategies for Learning & Development of the Merchandising organization. Develops high-performing team and creates pipeline for future growth in the business.
  • Oversee and coach team’s facilitation of onboarding materials and Learning & Development programs across all levels and categories (Welcome Kit, job aids, 30/60/90 Day Onboarding Plans) of Merchandising.
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships with other functional departments to be a strategic business partner to enhance and elevate Merchandising initiatives.

We would love to hear from you if:

  • 10-12 years of Management Consultant/Operations Management/Strategy/Project Management experience in a corporate, institutional or educational environment
  • Organization design, strategy and change management experience.
  • Experience project managing large scale tech software strategy initiatives from infancy to implementation. Including driving discovery meetings to executing implementation.
  • High level of capability to work across multi-faceted and complex organizations and bring clarity to complex process.
  • Proven experience implementing change management strategies across large scale organizations.
  • Adept at learning from setbacks and swiftly moving forward.
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, fluid, and customer service-oriented.
  • Identifies opportunities and finds solutions to drive efficiency with a growth mindset.
  • Highest levels of professionalism at all times; highly detailed oriented.

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $143,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
