Health Communication Specialist

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the development of trainings focused on public health topics and technical assistance sessions alongside client partners.
• Apply design thinking and research strategies to assist in the development of an updated program and communications strategy.
• Produce social media content that helps increase public knowledge of health-related risks and solutions.
• Develop and maintain an email distribution strategy and continuously manage distribution lists.
• Support email marketing efforts and ensure that best practices in public health communications are upheld.
• Analyze email marketing and social media metrics to determine how to optimize public health communication efforts.
• Work closely with the client to identify relevant materials about public health issues and distribute accordingly.
• Schedule and provide logistical support for telebriefings and webinars.
• Support the development of reports that measure the above efforts and adjust as needed.

What you’ll bring along:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
• 2 years’ experience in either project management, client management, or community management
• Must have experience managing public sector and federal clients
• Must have experience in public health communications
• Strong understanding of the, social media landscape, best practices, and analytics tools
• High level of proficiency with Zoom
• High level proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
