Senior Proof is a company dedicated to providing a comprehensive solution for the safety and well-being of independent seniors. We offer a range of services, including the installation of bed rails, shower grab bars, walk-in shower conversions, and more, all designed to enhance the safety and security of our senior community in the comfort of their own homes. We are currently seeking a reputable and reliable Handyman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing grab bars, bed rails, toilet rails, and other basic fixtures in homes. You will also be expected to perform various odd jobs and general handyman tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, possess strong general repair skills, and have experience with a wide range of repairs.
This is a part-time contract position. It is essential that you have your own tools and a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of shower grab bars, ensuring proper placement and secure attachment
- Undertake fixture installation, including but not limited to bed rails, toilet rails, and basic fixtures
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices on walls as required
- Assist tradespeople with repairs when needed
- Undertake assigned duties and respond to emergency tasks as required
- Lift objects weighing up to 50lbs when necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs effectively and efficiently
- Identify and report the need for repairs when observed
Skills:
- Proven experience as a handyman, demonstrating a track record of successful repairs and installations
- Familiarity with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Strong English speaking communication skills, bilingual abilities preferred
- Experience with bathroom and kitchen fixtures
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $200.00 per day
Expected hours: 8 per week

- Monday to Friday
