Senior Helpers - Fort Collins is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Laporte, CO

Senior Helpers of Northern Colorado and Wyoming is seeking a dynamic leader to run our Northern Colorado and Wyoming location. The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for the revenue growth, planning, directing, overseeing and control of the day-to-day and long-term activities of the region. This leader’s essential objective is to drive strategy and scale growth while maintaining exceptional quality of care. A key role of this position will be to create an environment and culture that provides strong vision, direction, and support to teams that will impact the growth and ensure success for all. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have a breadth of hands-on experience in operations, business, and sales development in home care or a closely related care industry. He or she will have proven experience of shaping a culture and inspiring excellent results from their team. Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Responsible for business growth, service quality, and all operational aspects of the business.
  • Leads the entire internal team to specified revenue, hours, client/customer satisfaction, and caregiver/employee satisfaction targets as determined by the Owners.
  • Manages critical HR functions, including recruitment, retention, benefits, and employee satisfaction programs, as well as HR operations such as Workers’ Compensation claims, WOTC processes, paid sick time, Colorado SecureSavings programs, FAMLI, and labor law changes.
  • Collaborates with Owners to create incentive programs for internal staff members.
  • Understands all staff roles and ensures responsibilities are performed in accordance with expectations set by Owners.
  • Provides Owners with strategic recommendations to enhance day-to-day operations across all business functions including adopting new technologies.
  • Manages all office staff to set and achieve weekly goals. When goals are not met, provides coaching and motivation for the staff. When applicable, take appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Develops staff key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensures ongoing measurement/performance against them, resulting in recommendations for annual reviews, salary/wage increases, and terminations.
  • Creates robust process improvement plans to bolster and enhance every area of our internal office protocols and procedures including on-call/after-hours.
  • Develops a recruiting, training, and retention plan to attract and hire highly qualified caregivers who provide best in class home care services.
  • Oversees and is responsible for reporting as assigned by Owners.
  • Collaborates with office staff to determine hiring needs.
  • Assists with inquiry calls, assessments, scheduling activities, and other tasks as needed.
  • Attends local business and industry-related networking functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (or equivalent combination of 5 years of relevant work experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of operations and employee management experience required.
  • Senior care experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable sales, sales development, and sales management experience
  • Possess a strong business acumen.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Proactive with foreseeing potential issues and providing multiple resolutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with both subordinate team and corporate partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to learn software programs quickly.
