Seneca Holdings is Hiring a Tribal Business Development Research Intern Near Buffalo, NY

Seneca Environmental is looking for a Tribal Business Development Intern that is centered in Tribal justice, equity and historical healing, clean energy, and new economic models. Someone who is detail-oriented, flexible, sees this arena as part of their future expertise, and embodies a sincere sense of urgency for scaling climate solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work Focus Areas

  • Tribal clean energy research
  • Outreach to Tribal Nations
  • Drafting educational and informational materials for Tribal Nations
  • Potentially on a project team
  • Regular engagement with Seneca Environmental staff

Support

  • Create and update database (Monday.com) to track and communicate business development opportunities, leads and contacts.
  • Analyze and provide reports for business development; Tribal clean energy projects, federal and state funding recipients, and technical assessments.
  • Draft and edit presentations.
  • Conduct pre-meeting research for meetings with potential partners and customers or upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with Business Operations Manager and the Communications team on content creation for the website.
  • Synthesize findings of research and present to staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research in the Tribal arena on social justice, clean energy, economic models and other related areas of significance to Tribes.
  • Grounded presence with Tribal members.
  • Experience working in and or is moving into the clean energy field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com, etc.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities.
