Vice President of Operations
The Seminole County Chamber is a membership-based organization seeking a Vice President of Operations. This person is primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber and staff. They also will assist with the financial development of the organization through revenue generation and expense control. This position is in person at the office in Heathrow, FL the majority of the time.
Reports to: President/CEO
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist and supervise the staff on a day-to-day basis
- Work with President/CEO to ensure proper onboarding for new employees
- Responsible for a positive, team-oriented, results-focused, and healthy work environment. Develops a plan to build and grow the professional staff to run the organization
- Serve as the lead for all human resource and employee benefit issues and activities
- Monitor financials and communicate with staff on goals in their respective areas
- Partner with President/CEO on strategic planning, budgeting, advocacy, and business development
- Partners with the President/CEO to develop partnerships and alliances with other entities that leverage the Chamber’s resources for the benefit of its members
- Work with Finance Consultant on managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Manage monthly billing of renewing members
- Assist Director of Membership and Sales team with new member sales and retention
- Attend monthly Finance, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors meetings and prepare sales and retention reports
- Work with Communications Consultant on marketing plan for the organization and outreach efforts
- Oversee Economic Development and Issues and Governmental Affairs Committees
- Manage and enhance all non-dues and affinity programs as well as explore and develop other additional non-dues income sources for the chamber
- Attend all signature Chamber events and represent Chamber in the community when required
- Other duties as assigned by President/CEO
