Sellen Construction is Hiring a Director of Technology Near Seattle, WA

Envision Yourself as a Director of Technology

The Director of Technology will lead Sellen's technology operations and program management teams. The Director of Technology defines and communicates the service level requirements for technology and works with the business to establish effective risk management and security measures. The Director of Technology is also responsible for leading Sellen's growth in technology innovation. This includes building strong collaborative relationships across the business to facilitate effective prioritization and assessments of Sellen's software applications, services, and emerging technology solutions.
This role is based full-time, on-site in our main office in South Lake Union, Seattle.
Position Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

AND ---

  • 10 years' experience in the operation of technology application services and technology infrastructure management. 
  • 5 years' experience leading people/ teams. 
  • 3 years' experience in cloud management. 

Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of construction business processes and workflows. 
  • Expert knowledge of software development lifecycle. 
  • Expertise in cloud commuting. 
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and required technology capabilities within a multi-location project-based environment including project management, forecasting, and logistical operations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining and developing internal and external customer relationships at the executive level. 
  • Experience in the construction industry or related project delivery business services

Skills: 

  • Strong skills in leading people and collaborating with leaders from across the business in a variety of nontechnical roles. 
  • Communication skills: 
    • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. 
    • Excellent written communication skills. 
    • Skilled in vendor contract negotiation to attain terms that align with Sellen's budget and strategic priorities.

The full salary range for this position is $176,000 to $240,000. New hires typically start between $176,000 and $205,000 depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 10% of annual base earnings.
