Huntington Learning Center - Center Manager

The Center Manager is responsible for achievement of business goals while fostering a learning center environment where children and teens enjoy the learning process.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the center to achieve business targets (marketing activities, inquiries, revenue/charges, and cost control).
• Serve as the on-site manager and problem-solver for teachers who have questions about curriculum, schedules, and student-specific issues.
• On-board new teachers: collect paperwork and documents, coordinate training and observations, etc.
• Maintain Huntington and other systems for employee management, customer contact management etc.
• Reconcile student attendance and charges to pre-paid tuition (“daily maintenance”).
• Maintain a clean and safe facility. The Center Manager is the on-site problem solver when issues arise (does not include routine cleaning).
• Coordinate with school and community partners to schedule and deliver presentations, parent education workshops, etc. to build our brand in the local community and drive inquiries from our market.

Supervisory and Shared Responsibilities

• Work with Assistant Director to optimize the daily schedule to maximize charges and minimize teacher payroll costs.
• Work with the Assistant Director and Managing Directors to ensure that all scheduled students have appropriate teachers assigned.
• Work with staff to conduct new customer consultations, academic evaluations, and grade tests.
• Work with staff to collect tuition due from enrolled students.
• Coordinate staff to plan and execute teacher meetings and fun events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, education industry or teaching experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
• Outgoing, friendly and comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.
• Strong technology skills & aptitude, willingness to learn.
• Must have experience with and enjoy working with children and teenagers.
• Typical schedule, subject to change: Monday-Thursday 10:00am – 8:00pm. Occasional, limited weekend support may be required

Compensation and Benefits:

• This is a full-time, exempt salaried position

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
